AOC CHIEF EXECUTIVE MESSAGE
On day one of the conference, David Hughes said, "Colleges aren’t about second chance, they’re about the best chance and sometimes the only chance."

A sector united

AoC’s Annual Conference and Exhibition allowed valuable opportunity for senior leaders in further education to discover, learn, celebrate and shape the future together.

The conference provided a place for professionals to experience and discover everything they needed to grow their business – the ideas, the connections and the practical applications shaped from an exceptional programme that was designed to reflect the sector.

The conference also celebrated the success of the sector at AoC’s Awards Evening during which colleges and students were rewarded for their exceptional performance and impact on the further education sector.

Rt Hon Jeremy Corbyn MP spoke on day one

On day one of the conference, Rt Hon Jeremy Corbyn MP pais tribute to further education colleges for ‘standing up for students and staff in increasingly difficult times’.

He also outlined a National Education Service which would be free and allow anyone to upskill at any time.
