Students skills submissions: work experience and evening performance
Student skills submissions have now closed.
Students are an integral part of AoC's Annual Conference and Exhibition. The 2018 event takes place at the ICC, Birmingham on 20 and 21 November and we are delighted to offer an amazing opportunity for the students of AoC member colleges to gain work experience at our flagship event.
Following the success of the student engagement programme at last year's conference, we will provide students with similar real-life work experience at one of the biggest events of its kind for the further education sector. We have places available in:
Catering and waiter service (Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 November)
Event management (Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 November)
Floristry (Tuesday 20 November at the Awards Dinner)
Performance, evening entertainment (Tuesday 20 November)
Press and media journalism (Tuesday 20 and Wednesday 21 November)
Please note that eligible students will be required to demonstrate an adequate level of relevant skills and experience in the selected area. They should have the maturity and enthusiasm required to assist a group of professional event managers and staff at the ICC, whose aim is to ensure the success of this well-established conference and exhibition.
Evening entertainment and performances
The evening entertainment and performances this year are required for Tuesday 20 November. This much anticipated social focal point of the conference needs an equally distinctive performance - could your college be represented this year?
We are looking for a student or group of students who can entertain the audience at the awards dinner. We would like students to provide muscial entertainment for guests during the pre-ceremony drink reception and at the awards dinner.
Student skills submissions have now closed. We will be shortlisting and selecting the chosen candidates in the days following this and will inform all entrants by Monday 1 October.
